You eliminate a lot of sugar and fat making this topping than other traditional syrups, plus you get one serving of fruit!

Ingredients

1/2 cup berries (strawberries, blueberries or other favorite berry)

Directions

Take one-half cup of strawberries, blueberries or any other fruit that you enjoy and puree in a blender with a touch of water to make syrup.

Use in place of sugary syrups on waffles, pancakes, French toast, low/non-fat ice cream, frozen yogurt, etc.

BONUS: Citrus Dressing

For a sparkling dressing to pour over your next fruit salad mix one-quarter cup orange juice with 1 teaspoon lime juice, one-quarter teaspoon lime zest and 2 teaspoons chopped fresh mint leaves.
